True Pete, I"ll invite the wind, Wind how about showing up and making our day. Actaully today there was about 8-10 mph westerly in the afternoon here in Torrance. It seems to be getting stronger each day. Ever the optimist.

I am in the middle of a (4) main engine R&R on the boat that I'm in charge of; No flying for me today. Have fun.

I'd love to fly--- but there's not much wind--Torrance Airport showing 5mph out of the North. Guess I'll keep doing honey do's and hope for better weather tomorrow!!

Fermin was kinda half decent about 3 or so. The low ceiling got in the way, but it was workable.

Nauga,

I thought about it, but in my book "workable" isn't worth the drive in commute traffic.

And here in Costa Mesa, it seemed as though there were 3-4 vehicles competing for every square inch of asphalt. I went across the street to the shopping center twice today; once on foot and once on the bicycle. After the trip on the bicycle I had to climb into bed and hide under the covers until the trembling stopped. The trip on foot wasn't much better.

I wondered if this would happen, but I'm real glad that I still have electric planes that can make their own wind. I'm actually enjoying flying them again. 'Sides, my left thumb was starting to show signs of atrophy and Fairview Park is only 2.2 miles away.

Fortunately, not all my electrics are ugly ducklings.

First, I need to get a job. 'Till then, it's a fly what I have caper.

Maybe Santa will bring me something. That's not real likely, though. Last time I saw his jollyness, he was pulling down those red pants of his and about to have a sit on my chimney.

Hey PGR, I grew up in Costa Mesa - where is that field you're on in the pic?

It's right by Tom Copp's house. I think the school next to the field iscalled Estaunsa High school, of something like that.

That's what I thought. You can fly slope at the west end of that field. Not great but good enough in a decent wind.

Estancia, BTW.

I met Nauga and b.record yesterday at Fermin, was a real nice time and while the conditions weren't optimal, they were certainly good enough for some nice flying. Heck, the lift was way better than what we normally have in SB, and a little fog didn't put too much of a damper on things.

Nice meeting both of you!! Happy Holidays

That slope sucks now. They planted trees at the bottom and those trees cause a lot of turbulence in the lift. But you can slope there and I do on occasion.

But not very often.

It's a great electric field, though. There's an information page for Fairview in the Slope Information Pages in my website.
