Scorpio Aquila Speed S2083 Glider or Motorglider 80" WS Ebay

The Aquila Speed is an 80" wingspan ARF motor glider made by Scorpio. It features a fully sheeted Oracovered elliptical two piece wing, fiberglass fuselage, and full flying cruciform tail including a rudder. The kit can be built as either a pure glider or motor assisted glider and includes an English language fully illustrated instruction booklet that explains both the glider and powered versions. Also included in the kit is a lovely set of colorful decals as well as a complete accessory package with control horns, plywood firewall and formers, tow hook, and molded servo covers. The canopy is removable to access radio equipment and/or motor batteries if that is the way you choose to go. The fuselage opening looks like it is big enough to fit a 7-10 cell battery pack for superb vertical climbs under motor power! To top it all off it appears that everything can be made removable and fit back into the original box for ease of storage and traveling. It requires 4 servos for ailerons, elevator, and rudder. The website has the price listed at 189 euros = ~$221. I have a low starting price and a low reserve.

Wing span 80.7" 2,050 mm .
Length 44.76" 1,137 mm .
Weight 42-58oz. 1300/1800 g .
Wing area 542.5 sq.in. 35 dm. .
Wing loading 11.3-15.4 oz./sq.ft. 37/51 g/dm. .

Sorry I didn't answer your question directly. I had quite a few requests for the same info so I responded to one them with the package info and the USPS calc web page on the ad. It's way at the bottom of the ad, I'll bet that it isn't too easy to find as most people including myself rarely look that far down. Anyway a rough estimate from the USPS web site:

3lbs 9oz. from 94511-13833

Priority Mail ~$10.35

Per thier website:
Additional postage may apply

Thanks for looking Bob!
