Harbor Freight Piper J3 Cub

I just got a flyer from HF and I has a 3 channel 38" ws Cub $79.

Anybody know about this? Does it have servos..

Jimbo: went to Harbor Freight online and found a J-3 Cub (item #92906-OVGA) listed for $120. Everything is included except AA batteries for the transmitter. Don't know if it's the same one your talking about.

wow! $120 is a ton of cash for an R/C airplane from HF that probably has limited replacement parts ect. i think at that point you'd be much better off with the PZ RTF version.

They usually honor copies of the add.
I downloaded the manual and it seems like a pretty nice plane with servos and control rods a geared motor and a speed control and all
1600 ft range?

If you purchase the 2 year warranty plan, there is no need for replacement parts ! If you have any damage to the plane, just take it back to the store and they hand you a new box !!
I have a couple of friends that are on their 5th and 7th Yellowbees already !!

Hello Everybody
This is my first post to RCGroups. Also I am fairly new to RC planes in general
I bought the "yellowbee"(nice name) on sale for $79 because it was the first 3-channel plane I had ever seen so cheap. Its has all the right parts but its a cheapy imo.
I know parts are available for now. In the manual is a parts list and phone number. I have ordered and received in about 3 weeks a Main Wing Assy Set-$11.35, Prop-$1.30 and Fuselage & Batt Cover-$13.95 This was one order and all came new and well packaged.

An upgrade on the Cub. HF has a BL motor version much higher in cost than the old brittle Cub. It is pressed foam and snaps if you land hard. Hook to a 2.4mhz xmiter so you can add & sub elevator & rudder with throttle and it's a good flyer. Not for beginners. No warranty anymore for damage caused by crashes. (We knew that wouldn't last, Huh?"
