Where to buy stylus battery pack with charge-jack?

Anyone know where I can buy a new stylus battery pack that has the charge jack aligned with the TX case for easy charging? Cheap, of course, would be nice

Thanks in advance!

If your good at soldering and your battery case is still in good shape, you can get replacement cells here..

http://www.batteriesamerica.com/newpage8.htm
(Bout 2/3 down the page) The individual cells are already soldered together in the shape you need. Just drop in the 8-cell (1100mah) pack, solder the leads and close it up.

Aaaaaaaaaah...good question! Airtronics has the M-8 dry cell battery pack that holds dry cells (or Ni-cads or Ni-metal) and comes with a battery charge jack. OOOOOOooooor..you can rebuild the previous battery pack that came with the Stylus or have it rebuilt at any battery store. Mine were rebuilt with 1100 Mah Ni-cads and cost $36.00!!!

I had Steve Belknap of Diversity model aircraft replace the 700 mamp pack with a 1600Nimh.

I bought the Airtronics dry cell holder from Airtronics for $12. This slides into the Stylus and the power jack pin aligns properly to power the TX. To recharge the pack it needs to be removed from the Stylus as the charging pin is not accessable while the pack is in the Stylus. This is no biggie. I bought an "AA" size 8 pack of 1600 mah nimh cells at Radio Shack for $19.95. They are designed for racing cars. I think they were on sale. The cells were cut apart and slid into the dry cell holder. I wrapped black electric tape around the whole assembly to keep everything tight and in place. They've been working great for two years. Tx time is more than double the stock battery. All for about $32.

Those cell holders are very convenient, no doubt. But, have you ever and a flashlight suddenly go out on ya and have to give it a thump to establish cell contact?

This is what I currently have and don't like having to remove it from the tx to charge. Oh well. For the money, I think it's probably the best alternative since a new Airtronics pack is $$$$$

flyingdogtwo: You are completely right. Mine came with the batteries taped in place to prevent this. Not sure if that works though as I have not yet used that radio. I would think it would work though.

I just wrapped black electrical tape around the pack from one end to the other. I left the charging jack exposed, of course. The tape doesn't interfere at all with the pack sliding into or out of the TX. The batteries are snug as a bug in a rug. They don't move at all no matter how much I yank on the sticks (usually up in a futile effort to keep my plane aloft).
