That's a sweet build. I tried to build this kit about 35 years ago when I was a little fellow. I was no where near as successful as you!

For those that asked--my Curtiss Hawk is stick and tissue construction and weighs about 13 ounces and is 4 channel with a himax geared motor with 3 cell lipo--very aerobatic. I built her from my own plans for a 16 inch CO2 powered Hawk published in MAX FAX about 1981 or so. The plans were doubled in size for rc.

MPP - so many of us started the hobby with Guillows and had high hopes of someday building a true conversion! You've done well - Do you have any flight videos yet?

Guys, for some cool pics, go to the Spektrum Gratton Air Invitational face book page and check out the albums. We had 4 classes of pylon racing, not least of which was the P T28 class. The final was 17 models in the air at once.
