Kurt, I lmaidened my Focke-Wulf a week ago this coming Saturday. Man, I gotta say that my knees were knocking and my heart was poinding. I had intended to just taxi around and get the feel of the plane but once I saw her moving I had to put her up in the air. Wow, what a flyer. I was surprised that for a warbird, she was really controllable and docile, but could really boogey when I wanted her to. The only problem I had was on landing. The retracts are my planes weak point. I broke a strut when I landed her a little rough. It didn't seem to be that rough though. Anyway, a bit of CA and she was as good as new. She can fly a lot slower than my Trojan for sure. The next time I fly her, I am going to make sure to use flaps to land. I have seen them in videos working and the Focke-Wulf just floats down with the flaps deployed. Good luck on your P-51 maiden.

Cool - I was really torn between the FW and P-51, read such great things about both.
Surprising that you were able to repair the gear with CA, was it the plastic trunion that rides in the retract housing that broke? If so pw-rc sells metal trunions, just check the size (or you may need to drill to fit your gears' leg)

Yeah, it was the part that hooks to the upper strut. It has shock absorbing gear so this is like a scissor action strut. No problem though. It should be fine.

I'm assuming the bottom Spitfire is a Dynam / FMS? there's no mistaking that lack of Dihedral and that photo is the perfect illustration.

Loving the parkzone though, 3 blades... nice!

Good eye. I put the proper dihedral into that plane soon after that pic was shot..... In the pic above with the red spinner and an 11x7 MAS on a 40 series Cobra motor she is weighing in at 4.75 pounds with a 4000mah 5s & tickling the 100 mph mark.
