Fantastic Zero Chuck, good luck on the maiden

Thanks heaps guys for your compliments on the Zero, however things were short lived.
After checking and re-checking CofG it was still tail heavy.
After a very nice climb out on t/off it didnt appear comfortable and after making a schemozzle of the landing she busted up, landing gear ripped out, tail sheared off, not pretty.
Anyways, all part of the hobby.

Ouch! Sorry to hear. Thats what I have heard about zeros, they need a ton of weight to deal with being tail heavy.

6 ft wingspan, 63" long. Powered by two 42-48 motors contra-rotating 16x 8" (modified 12 x 8) props and 2 5000mA 6 cell batteries. Weight 14lbs.
Still in work and has not flown.

The Germans really had some unique aircraft back then. I hope everything works out smoothly, would love to see some video of this in the air...
