Help!
Problem, Problem, Problem

I am very new to electric park flyers but I built my plane, bought a Futaba 6 channel skyport, battery, engine, esc, servo, receiver, and when I put it all together......nothing. I can not get my Feigao 4 channel receiver and Futaba transmitter to talk. I have checked all connections and the esc lights up, but nothing. Ready to throw in trash and find a new hobby. Any help is appreciated.

To many things it could be
Find out for sure that the Feigao RX and the transmitter are on the same band,
Do you have a club or group that fly close to you that can help you check it out. Most will be happy to help

Is there any servo response at all when the receiver is energized . . even just a momentary servo "twitch"?

Could be a number of things, but a faulty rx crystal comes to mind.

same shift? RX needs to be on the negative shift to be compatible with the futaba skyport you have.

Unless its the feiago model that auto detects shift

Receiver "Shift" must be compatible with the TX.

Receivers and crystals also come in "single conversion" or "dual conversion" depending on the manufacturer (Hitec is one), they must also match.

Obviously the crystals must be on the same frequency. The crystal must also be of the brand and type recommended by the receiver manufacturer.

Lastly if you've changed the crystal in the Transmitter to a different channel, it may not function at all (experienced this before).

If all else fails and you don't have a club close by, take everything to your local rc hobby shop and they should be able to help you.
