Stall Dive/$ Glider???s

Hello all,I've been wanting to do this for some time.I've been working on a $ store "Foamie" glider that I think I can make somewhat funtional,with added details such as filling mold marks,reshapeing wings,tail, n fuse (eventually add static) wing mounted engines,etc...Question is ,as I make changes ,I test "glide" it. IT ALWAYS, from a horazontal launch,..with/into/no breaze, curves upward, stalls n dives. is nose/tail to heavy? How to check C.O.G.and where it SHOULD be on any future type glider's I've seen I'd like to "experiment" with to be R.C.ed .I'm brand new to planes,but I KNOW the answers are here on RCG.forum..thx Tim

Try that. Its more than you need but its cool.
Basically a good place to start is 25% of cord. So take how wide the wing is at the root and figure out what 25% is and measure back from the leading edge. Of course if there are a ton of other things to consider but that is a starting point.

A parkflyer is any small electric RC aircraft that can be safely flown at a small park/soccer field. Any ultra micro electric airplane/heli would more than fit into this category(also fits into the gym/indoor flying category). Small electric's of about 48" wingspan or lower with low to medium speed would also fit. Basically if it is too big and too fast and too loud to not be able to stay in a soccer field or two than its not a park flyer.

When someone is referring to an aircraft as a 40 size or 60 size etc., they are referring to the size of the nitro motor on it. A 40/60 size nitro plane is a good size 50-60" wingspan airplane and should probably be flown at a local club field.

Expo is referring to the amount of deadband around center you program into your transmitter. The more expo the less twitchy the aircraft is when you move the sticks just a little past center, but responds the same as the stick are moved. Its a non-linear movement done in the transmitter.

Rate is referring to dual rates on the transmitter. You can have dual and triple rates on some transmitters. If the manufacture recommends that the elevator only moves 1" up or down you can have low rates be half of that. So if you go full throw on the elevator it only moves 1/2" so the model is less responsive to pitch. But at a flick of a switch it will be in high rates and you will get the full 1" in throw.

Hey All,
what is the significance of the C-rating of batteries? What would a 4S 2200mah 20C battery do compared to the exact same battery but a 40C instead?
