TT electric or nitro Ducati?

Hey all,

I just saw the review in Rc Driver of the TT nitro Ducati. A while back, they had review of the electric one and clocked it at 20mph. How much faster is the nitro? Given the choice, which would be the recommended of the two?

the choice depends on how much u're willing to spend and whether u have any experience with nitro. if u're just starting out, i'd suggest getting the electric one...

I just got the nitro but I have lots of experience with all things nitro. Get the electric unless you have the experience and love the smell of nitro in the morning.

I say get the electric first. Master driving it, then when you're ready for another challenge, get the nitro.

BTW, I got 37.4 MPH out of my TTn, still tuned a bit conservatively. I've clocked my very modified TTe at 32.7, but that was with a nasty high-speed headshake problem. I'm pretty confident I'll be getting at least 37 the next time I radar it.

what kinda set up? I swear my brushless bike is faster then that using the good ol "eye-dar" but we usualy know thats way off. LOL

Check your tires.... High speed head shakes are usually the sign of a rear tire ballooning

jynx -- You'll see it eventually...

Akura -- I got it sorted out by ditching the fuel tubing steering and moving on to a TTn steering damper/link.

I have a little experience with nitro, albeit, not very successful. Is it possible to run these bikes on the same tracks that cars run, or do they turn too wide?

You need a big track. One made for 1/5 or 1/8 scale cars.

They run 1/5 cars at the track here, but I'm not sure if it's big enough.

If they run 1/5 cars there, it will be plenty big enough for the bikes.
