Devils advocate...Micro 3D Helis?????

I just was flipping through an RC Magazine and saw an ad for the Blade CP. The Ad featured a picture of the Blade CP completely inverted, and said that it was possible with the hop up kit... I have also seen similar advertising for many other micro helis... My good friend and experienced heli pilot owns a blade, and has tried many of the 3d maneuvers advertised... Lets just say that they were less than successful... I own a Honeybee CP2 and absolutely love it for hovering around...so donít get me wrong, I am not trying to criticize the micro helis out there. I am just posing a question for discussion. Are there pilots out there pulling off these moves, I have seen one video of a HB2 doing some minor rolls...but does anyone out there have any video or pics of 3d flying with a micro electric heli...

Thanks,

-Flyin Brick

Here is a thread I started awhile back for great 3d micro videos:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310651

I dropped away from micros after doing the noob thing and thinking I could run before learning to walk with an Esky FP. Now I'm following advice online and learning the basics on my little FP. Darn stuff's addictive--haven't touched a plane in weeks!

I've got two H2's and a Hornet CP on the shelf I picked up second-hand. If the Duzi's can do it...well, I can one day as well.

To answer your original question regarding the Blade CP and CP2 performing at the level of a b/less and separates set-up on 3s lipo, I think the answer is NO. BUTTT, for $220 or so RTF, they will do basic aerobatics, inverted, etc. Not a bad deal.

This, you must see!!!! It flys like a .90 size with Curtis Yougblood at the sticks. Go to the Hornet section at this site. You will know the power of the Force!!!
