Any Good Gas and Electric Airplane Hobby Shops in Atlanta?
Hello,
I just recently moved to Atlanta, and I am currently living in downtown Atlanta near the civic center. Can anyone tell me where I can find a good gas and electric airplane hobby shop? I appreciate any information. Joe |

Have a look at the new advertiser from just out of Atlanta, they have a Hobby Shop/Field. I had a look yesterday and it looks good.....Laurie |

My two 'regular' hobby shops are National Hobby Supply on South Cobb Drive in Marietta and The Hobby Shop in Stockbridge.
NHS has mostly gas stuff. The Hobby Shop has more electric than NHS (plus a lot of gas stuff too) and a FRIENDLIER staff to boot. There's also The Hobby Stop in Peachtree City. A lot of e-stuff, more than the others combined. Nothing close to us (Downtown). That's all I know of... |

HobbyTown and The Hobby Shop in Kennesaw (Town Center Mall area).
None have anything worth buying - overpriced and poor selection. National has great prices on transmitters, but virtually nothing for electrics (a couple of parkflyer motors and Zagi battery packs). The Hobby Stop in Peachtree City is the only one with much in the way of electrics, but even that's limited. I live here, I buy most everything from New Creations or Hobby Lobby, Aveox, Castle Creations, Hoellein, etc., directly. ..a |

Glad to hear there are some more electric fliers in Atlanta!
Why don't you join us at our local Atlanta electric fliers BBS at: http://pub64.ezboard.com/fatlantaflyingbatteriesfrm1 Its not much as its new, however around here electric fliers are scattered and out of touch with each other, especially the parkfliers and micro-electric guys. We are trying to change that. Find out when and where others are flying and make some new friends. Planeman |
