FWIW I believe pacific hobbies is restocked with the alfas!
But shoot, seeing the way you can work foam, you could scratchbuild one!

Thanks guy, but I dont feel to bad...I knew I was pushing my luck with a 25amp ESC...But I just want to kick myself in the arse because as soon as I got home my 35amp ESC had just gotten back from Castle Creations...the irony! Well now I know wich combo I'm going with alfa/wattage imp./AON4900...CC 35 AMP ESC!

Bruce, funny you mentioning that, because after the incedent, I gave Pacific Hobbies a call ....but i am debating because, yeh I can just scratch build one at a faction of the cost...if I do i'll post it

Just a quicky on my MIG which has had around 100 flights and has had the wing strengthening mods done.
I'm about to replace my old PQ 3s2200's and just want to verify that my power train of a Mega 16/7/4 and hacker 30amp opto controller will handle a 4s pack.
If OK what brand cells will fit?

Byam.

Looking at Roccobros spreadsheet on the first post he got 24A on 16/7/4 4S2P-1800s,
so using 24A as a maxampdraw number....
30A ESC is fine.
tp1320 20C prolites will fit easily.
My 4S Impulse 2100 is probably a tight fit.
Flightpower1800s will work...

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I have completed the Afla trifecta, I ordered the Ta-183! I think it might go faster than the Mig or Sabre due to its straight ducting. We shall see!
Too many foam jets now, lol!

Welcome to the 3 Alfa EDF club!
The huck may be the SLOWEST! due to its fat tall body, thick tail. I still have to build my Mig and Huck!
Think my twin Hyperion X22S EDF55s GWS A-10 is next though!

CofG, Bruce is correct! the huck is slowest buy a bit..The fus. is very tall and fat as is the vertical stab. But its a very cool plane and looks great in the air! so far I have only got the huck up to 95mph.

I built my A-10 with twin Vasa 55's and 5400KV CC motors, I posted photos of this last year but if you like I can shoot you some pics of the install. I had hinged fan mounts and batt. door.

Mine is basically a copy of Herbs GWS A-10 setup which flys awesomely on 370watts using the gws edf55 fan units. I scored the kit at hobbypeople a couple months ago, they must have mislabeled the price as it was 21.99 w/fan units!
Got the hyperions at allerc.com in a combo deal w/cc t-bird 18A ESCs.
It was around 66.95ea for a motor and esc!
Going to Las Vegas this weekend so I'll be back late sunday.
CYA!
