i have one left, NIB. mine is the electric f/f one. i tried converting one to r/c last year, put the guts out of one of the airhogs reflex coaxial choppers in it, rudder and throttle only. it was a sweet little flyer, but the ESC could not handle the amp draw of the stock motor/prop combo. i flew it around at half throttle and it was very pretty in the air. thinking about putting the parkzone micro cessna brick in the last one, not sure if the cessna motor/gear reducer will fly it, though.

It should fly but not as nice as some otehr ones here... spend some extra dough and get some decent electronics.

Parkzone Cessna guts are much too wimpy! The Acrobipe airframe only is about 1 oz.
This airframe flies great even loaded to 5.5oz and there is no need to be very concern about the weight... it handles winds much better when heavy...
On the pic you have little Acro with bigger brother... Christen Eagle by Cox painted in Oracle plumage. Both are great fliers...

I figured I'd bump this thread since I'm starting on another Acro Bipe build. I bought 5 of them from harbor freight at something like $4 a piece. They are awesome little planes, and handle wind great if built a little on the heavy side.

Here's mine from last year:

GWS 50 XC with 3x2 prop
CC Pixie 7 ESC
GWS pico receiver.
300mah lipo
cheapo 3.7gr servos.

Rudder + Elevator only.

Maiden flight on a windy day:
Harbor freight acro bipe RC conversion. (0 min 41 sec)

Yeah I picked up only one initially before knowing anything about them, then realized that it was a pretty capable little airframe for the price. The next day I stumbled across this great thread and realized that the HF plane was the same as the funcraft acro bipe, so I immediately ran out and bought all 5 in the store.

Once I run out of acro bipes, I'm going to try to build a scaled up version of the foam micro ultimate.

I picked up a few form the local Harbour Freight store over the summer. Paid $7.50 ea for mine. I noticed the tail feathers and wings were not the same dimensions to each other. This would explain why me version 2 flies a bit faster than my version 1. Still a great plane to fly.
