My servo's are located in the exact same place but inside the fuse. I took a reference of Davids location and they may be slightly aft, but I think it's ok. The CF in the tail might throw the cg a little, but we will wait to hear from David.

Manish, You can be OK with one servo in this location but not two!
In my last version elevator sevo is att. on the side with cars servo tape just behind the ailerons servo. Even with hefty 730 battery as far forward the nose as possible it barely balanced right.

Just read your posts and I checked my CG to find it about 1 1/4 in. from the leading edge of the top wing. The plane seems to fly fine that way. I was going to move the servos more forward but was worried about the arms getting in the way of the ailerons. Which after assembly I found that I can move the servos more forward, which I intend to do with the next plane. I'll post this reply and try to send more photos, I have 5 left.....David

im having CG nightmares hope it works out, did a cox micro warbird two weeks ago and thank god i used double sided tape when it cam time to balance with the bat. int he nose it was impossible with the servos far aft in the plane.....good luck again hope it works out without any extra work we all just wanna fly........

Good to hear the little bipe is flying well. I used very small aluminum tubing for pushrods. What i did for connection to the servo was used a piece of thin wire, made a "z" bend in it to attach to the servo and used a little drop of ca glue to attach it to the inside of the tubing. It's working good. I used the aluminum tube idea from janusz and just modified it a little.

M, Keep working at that cg opportunity. Once you find the sweet spot, that plane will fly great.

Im fascinated by the number of planes on store shelves that are such good subjects for rc conversion. This little bipe is a good example. The other is the foam glider called "Turbojet 2000". I just finished converting it. I used 2 GWS DD motors with 6 blade props from GWS edf fan units. It flies like it's on rails! It slows way down when you want it to and has no tendency to drop a wing when stalled.

I read the last posts and decided to do couple photos of my Acro just to make it easier. I hope that those pictures will help at least some of you.
My CG is 1 1/8" from leading edge of upper wing measured on the wingspar.
As you see there is plenty of right and down thrust on Feigao.
My both servos are almost overlaping each other very far forward.
Battery is 2c 730mAh Thunder Power, the controller is CC Thunderbird 10A and Rx is GWS single conversion. Top of the cowl ic att. with two magnets. The hinges are just Zagi tape serving as a wing enforcement. The same solution on the chorizontal stab. Red pushrod "hinges" are from heatshrink tubes , pushrods are from aluminium rods. Whole enchilada weights a ton (4 1/8oz) and is not "perfectly straight but flies like a dream more than 1/2 hour on single charge.
Yes, those smal models are CG sensitive and the trick is to find the proper "sweet spot" before doing too much damage on maidens.
I perfectly understand that my model is really heavy, this is my 5th conversion of Acrobipe, had them light and medium. Somehow this porky is the best flying one...

I just saw your picture after posting mine. Do not relay on the tape attached as a hinge to the factory painted wing! The paint wil sonner or later peel off and your Acro will be in trouble. Remove this paint with blue painters tape to naked styro and glue the hinge tape to it. It is a safe solution.

Thanks Janusz for the tip I'll do that this weekend before I fly it again. I don't know what to say about my CG and your CG ? I am able to fly it straight and level, do loops and also rolls. As I said eariler... it flys well in the wind. But I will move the servos forward on my next plane.......David

Hi David,
We are just 1/4" different on our CG, I bet your flies perfectly, just on "safe side". My CG is little forward - it gives me more "crazy " way to fly.
I do not know how you managed to have proper CG with those servos on the back, must be light servos and big speed controller up front....:-).
Anyway, there are many ways to skin the cat. The most important thing is to keep those little marvels flying!

Not much news, flies very well, of course needs some adjastment and fine tuning but they all do due to their size....
Couple of thoughts, I think that Acro from Harbour Freight is little heavier than Funcraft, seems to me that the foam is a bit higher density. The paint on HF wings is much harder to remove than on Funcraft. Alltogether the HF version is bit nicer to work with.
