Micro Heli Contest at iHobby Expo in LA

The upcoming iHobby Expo on 10/22-23 will host a microheli 3D contest. According to Align these are some of the big names who will be competiting with T-Rex.

1. Jason Krause
2. Alan Szabo & Danny Szabo
3. Curtis Youngblood
4. Marty Kuhns
5. Erich Stolze
6. Andy William
7. Kyle Stacy

This should be an interesting show!

HI Guys!

Fred, it will be nice to finally meet you. I'll be there both at the show and competing in this event.

BTW, I've seen the list as of last week of the competitors...and unless it has changed drastically...I do not see the same names on the list I have as was posted directly above. Not flaming here, but I'm not sure the list above is acurate. Obviously my name is not on there and I know of another pilot who will be there and his name is not on there as well. And CY and a few others, I don't think they are flying either. ???

Anyhow, see you guys in 2 weeks. I'll be in the Horizon Hobby booth. Please stop by and let's chat e-helis! <G>

I was just going to post a sceptical comment about this - Curtis's name on the list was the give away (A JR pilot would be flying the Parkmite if he flew at all).

Steph is a good guy but Align have issues with lying (I know very well first hand and broke off the work I was doing with them). Seeing them make a fool of Steph again (after the fake blades) annoys me.

Do I know for sure this list is make believe? No but Align might make good products at an OK price but they speaketh a hell of a lot of bull! From their track record, its nothing more that a "wishlist".

I've corresponded with Stephen in the past and he's a good guy. My comments were not aimed at him or Align. Just not sure where the list came from is all I am questioning. I've been involved with the folks putting this event together since it's conception a few months back. We've worked very hard to make it fun and safe with 2 different classes etc.

Hopefully we will see some great flying by guys who are bigger names than myself!

We need an event like this for the micro/mini e-helis. I'm sure we all agree they fly so well, why not showcase them?

That list was posted publicly on Align's message board. So if it's not accurate then there's proof that I am not the liar.

I will try to make it out there as well. Hope to see you guys there.
