I just got the Great Planes ¼ Scale Patty Wagstaff Extra 300S. They are not a bad looking kit. Here some pic of it.

I have started doing some work on the Extra glued the stab center section got the holes cut for the wing tube and got the anti-rotations pins epoxy in just order some Du-Bro Heavy Duty Hinges ¼ scale..

Done a little bit more today have the motor mount in what a job I modified the firewall it is know 19mm thick. The Zenoah G-45 looks small in the plane done all the plumbing. I got to wait for my servos and few more things to finish the plane off….

Just order myself a SWB 2 Servo Tray w/ 4" bell crank for the rudder.

It goes great Almost unlimited vertical.....But ill tell you, it really goes with the supertigre 4500

I know one person who also tried a zenoah g-62....

Bit of an up date... got all the hinging done just waiting on the servos and extension leads & bolly carbon fibre Prop. They don’t have the SWB 2 Servo Tray w/ 4" bell crank in stock so I got the SWB 3 Servo Tray w/ 4" bell crank should have that next week…

Got a bit more done on the plane cowl block glued on and dowel I change the size of the dowel form 3mm to 4mm. I did a lot more watch TV than work on the plane I was watch Bathurst the biggest race of the year (V8 supercars) Holden won hopefully all my servos should be here this week and rest of stuff too…

I have one with a BME 50. Goes like crazy. I have tried many different props and the best one I found so far is a 22*6-10. Same with a ZDZ 50 motor I have in a BME 30% Edge. The Patty flies great but landings can be a bit hairy. My Edge will float on in while the Patty likes to tip stall a bit so landings have to be under some power. She weighed in at 15.2 lbs. There are a few huge threads on rcuniverse if you are interested in reading. They will answer any question possible on this plane. So far it is the prettiest plane I have. At least thats what the wife tells me. So now I am under greater pressure not to crash it. After about 20 flights everything is pretty solid. Only problems were the aileron servo trays. They loosened up a bit in the wing and the servo would rock back and forth. Not a terminal problem, but it left some slop that I had to fix with some epoxy. Get this thing together and post some flight reports.

Thats sweet looking. How did you mount/install the elevator servos? I used 2 digital servos and had Servo City reverse the flow of one of them. Are you using a miracle Y?

We're waiting for the maiden. is it this weekend?? Hurry up

By the way, just from my experience with this plane, check those aileron servos and make sure they are solid after a few flights. That is the only weak spot in my plane so far.
