If I can't get a WingWarrior, who makes a fast, big wing?

I was hoping to get a WW Marauder or maybe a Raider for my first "go really fast" wing project. I have been hoping they would respond to some of the questions posted here, but they are MIA. If they don't come back, who makes a comparable wing >= 48"? I have been looking around but none other than Combat Wings has options for spar upgrades and I haven't really heard alot of buzz about a XE2 being really fast. I am still months away from buying anything, but has anyone else found a 60" wing that could stand up to 80/90/100mph speeds w/o extensive work? My only other option would be to buy a Raider from existing stock, but I kinda really want a Marauder.

Chris, should I/could I hold out for a Marauder? The Lightening is another one that looks interesting, but I won't be shopping 'til xmas time. I am just trying to line everything out so I can get parts on sale/clearance. I thought I had it figured out, but times seem to be changing.

Ex. I just got a 4 stroke motor on sale for another plane I want- my big fueler. What exactly that plane will be depends on the deal I can find when I have money but I have the range figured so I can start collecting parts.

The hobby people close by, has 2/3 mauraders(still can't spell it the first time,) but that won't help you cause you're in Texas.

I might fire off an email to hobbypeople.net and see if they can sell one out of a store.

i'd ask a few guys in socal/nevada if they can buy/send you a kit from their local hobby people if you send them some money. sorry but even though im in socal, i wnot be able to, but im sure somebody can. first i'd try calling the hobby peoples, then contacting people in that area.

i just called the HP in SD, and they have no maurauders, but they have a slope and e-raider and a slope zipper.

I found a shop on line that has the 5-spar Raiders and I am thinking about that. I have a 24" WallyWing, 35" WildWing, and my 48" Slinger. I just had 60" Marauder on the taste buds.

I enjoy my Slinger and I am afraid if I get a Raider, the Slinger might get left home more and more- not to mention that my wife will start asking why I need two of the same thing. My Slinger has assumed "favorite jeans" status and I am not ready to part with it just yet!

Cool. I'll send them an email tonight. If they aren't any help, I may take you up on your offer. Thank you.

Hey Makka

Look at the 48" Halfpipe at NCFM <http://www.northcountyflyingmachines.com>
Looks different to your standard speed wing though.

The 56" Bluto looks like fun. I wonder how they take to motors?

The bluto is a little heavy for a motor...and they are not making them right now. The halfpipe is crazy fast, but the spar/joiner/fin setup would make fitting a motor hard.

You could also just order a set of cores with the trusty old MH45 airfoil and 3 deg washout....
