Brass propellers for Dumas Akula
Hi!!!
I'm working on my dumas akula from 2 days (I have a broken finger and therefore one blocked hand... building is very slow...) and I view on engel site a 7 blade brass propeller, but I dont know just size, on this forum I looked 53mm but imho is too big! the original plastic propeller is only 44mm... On yours akula do you have brass propeller? size? I am also thinking to lengthen hull (1/4" or 3/8" max) in order to leave more space between the propeller and the pod like on originates them... I used a 40 MM six bladed Engel prop on mine. The real sub is seven, but I could not find one in that size. I extended the stern and molded up new surfaces also. The only parts used from the kit are the top, bottom and sail. Even those are modified. Dave.
