No more concerns for me, just use battery bunkers...
Had another Lipo pop today, a TP 3S 730 - totally my fault, I mis-set my charger. Was using a bunker, no serious problem at all. The outside of the bunker got warm and some smoke was vented, so we set the bunker outside the rest of the afternoon. Interesting: the pack puffed with an audible popping noise and one of the cells split open, then I removed the charger (seeing my mistake in the process). 10 minutes later, the pack ignited.
Just use a battery bunker. It is THE solution for safely charging and storing small to medium sized Lipos. If you can't afford $25 for safety, don't use Lipoly batteries.
That's all, back to my usual fora.

selected too high a cell count on the charger? Or wrong cell type?
Only want to know to see if my new toy (diy charge guard) would have helped.
