HELDGE,
Sorry to see.....but if you don't mind me asking what is the name of your plane and where can I get one. That looks like a great model.

Lightnin,

The name of the plane is F4d Skyray.
It is a kit made by RBC in Holland.(balsa) www.rbckits.com/
You can find out more if you check in jet-section( lower on this side)
Think you can get a kit from EAM in U.S.
Helge.

This is my first big crash since I returned to R/C flying in 2002. I'm usually pretty careful, but got sloppy this day diving very fast into the juncture of a backstop and terra-firma.

After:

I didn't recover, just used some hinge tape as sutures.

I wish I had some pics of my crashes, but I hardly ever picture my crashed planes, I just want to forget what happened

But believe it or not, just over an hour later one was flight ready and didn't even need re-trimming on its re-maiden.
Steve bennington was the other pilot, and all harware (both brushless) was intact!
I think this model got all its own bits back!
But it gave us a good giggle anyway!
Nige.

A true Gent!

What's more, a brand new Tucano kit turned up on my doorstep the other day. That's going further than the knock-for-knock approach to a Midair..
What more could you want? A good belly laugh at the time, and now a new airframe to get flying a wonderful little airplane again!

Cheers Nige!

Regards,

Steve

This is a pretty lame carnage picture, but it's the only one I've got on my machine at work. This is what happens when you pull high-g loops at 200' with a stock GWS cub, it falls into tho top of a 70' hickory, and you try to retrieve it with a paintball marker, unsuccessfully, and with a bow and arrow, successfully. Note the paintball exit wound in the port wing, the paintball slime on the fuse, and the smashed cowl and gearbox (the result of the retrieval line getting caught on the propshaft and pulling the whole deal down from 70' up). I didn't feel too bad since it's a cheap foamie, and has since been repaired with a clipped down wing with balsa spar, EPS100 GB, and 3s li-po power!

I've got a good one of what was left of my Wild Thing after a midair. The plane literally exploded. I'll post it as soon as I get home.

As promised....

It was her first outing, too. Very quick and agile. Such is the life of a combat plane...

Dandy Sport after just a couple of hours total flight time.

Never recovered from a dive due to major brain fart I had. I should have just let go of the sticks.

Totally rebuildable of course. But just got a GT versiona and Cessna 180 from Doug at MM and will have to wait.
