Whilst it might resemble the Ripmax Spitfire, might even be made in the same place as the Ripmax Spitfire and might be exactly the same structure as the Ripmax Spitfire, I'd just point out that it isn't a Ripmax Spitfire- the covering is different for one thing. It also seems to have the parts for an IC conversion and for a fixed undercarriage.

Have been watching this Spitfire on Ebay also.
Noticed that it has gone up $20 in a month, must be selling so that means its a goodun.
Thinking of purchasing one myself before they go up again.
Has anyone flown this plane, they look better than the ripmax ones?

The Ripmax Spitfire is gorgeous. This one looks like a model. As far as the posted weight, I'm leary of 1.1lbs myself...

Won an auction for one of these Spits and paid for it only to get an email saying they can't send it to Hawaii. That sucks, I really looked forward to flying it as the Ripmax is a little too steep after the shipping.
Different covering and option for IC, overall size very similar and looks like a decent kit.

Ebay Spitfire weight

This model is made by HaiKong Model Mfg. company (www.dghaikong.com). I emailed them to ask about the weight as 1.1 lb "flying weight" does not seem possible. They responded by saying that the weight of the ARF was 1.1 lb.

Still sounds light but I'll soon find out, as I won an auction for one on ebay (Ralph Brekan, I'm guessing that you're the one I bid over! Sorry! But it appears there are plenty more).

Estimated delivery Oct 17. If I can figure out how to mount a Cobri gearbox + Mega 16/15/3, I'll let you know how it flies.

No, it says "flying weight" in the ebay link that tailhook2 provided and it says "flying weight" on the website of the manufacturer (HaiKong). It says merely "weight" on the Grandhobby webpage.

But yes seems like a screaming deal!

Oh, I bid on the one from Grand Hobby. That said "ARF weight". You're right, when I look at that listing they did put "Flying Weight." Sorry Farnborough, it is I that can not read! Nonetheless, what a great deal!!! Oh by the way, you saved my by outbidding me. The LAST thing I can afford is another model.

I have purchased one of these Spitfires and is now assembled and ready to go. It has the same dimensions as Ripmax Spit. There are a few different things..cowl..motor mount..covering..landing gear.
Their instructions said 98mm from leading edge for centre of gravity.Ripmax CG is 70-75mm. Thanks DP for putting up the manufactures website as i was able to email them about this. This was their reply..

Hello
Sorry,we have a mistake, our Spitfire is same size as Ripmax, the CG is 75mm is correct.
Best.

Thats a big mistake to make ,imagine trying to fly model at their CG
I reckon they havent even test flown it Hope to maiden mine this coming weekend and AUW is 1380g.
This is my setup..Axi 2820/10,MM 40amp BEC,8 cell GP 3700MAH,10X6 prop with a Dubro spinner.
