FMS and Windows XP

All:

I am sorry if this post has been covered before. I did a search and found some info but I wasn't sure if it was definitive.

I have Windows XP home edition and I have a Hitec Laser 4 Tx.

Is all I need to get started with FMS is to download the Beta 7 FMS module and buy a USB port cord to plug into the back of the TX? It looks like the module 7 is not for Windows XP but some of the posts here seem to indicate it can be used.

Many thnaks in advance for any information you can provide.

Mike

Nice attitude aeropal but I truly spent a good deal of time trying to research this issue before making this post.

I am sorry I have taken up your valuable time. Sheesh!

aeropal,

What happened to the helpful spirit of this forum? That was a rather rude and unneccessary post. I have searched on here several times and the search results can be rather overwhelming. If it's such a pain in the @ss to answer someone constructively, then don't bother, duh! I'm sure the poster would rather wait an extra day to get a cordial/informative response from someone who cares. People like you p^ss me off! You are the reason newbies like Mikey6345 come here and immediately leave, not to return. If you don't want to be helpful in a KIND way, then why are you even on here?

Maybe you should rethink your user name, "aeroPAL" doesn't seem quite appropriate.

Personally, I think you owe him an apology...

Lighten Up!

JeffreyB,
Usually, aeroPAL's posts are friendly and helpful. I don't know why this one was so different--may be the guy had a hard day...
Please don't get too angry! Let's keep these forums a pleasant place to browse.

bluesky123,

There's no excuse, and I still say mikey6345 deserves an apology.

I've been on too many other forums and seen new people that weren't savy on proper forum behavior get blasted for no really good reason. Turned off, they left the forum. Hell, who knows they may have left the hobby! That's no way to treat a new person. We were ALL new and green at one point...
