Yup, it's a nice and slow flying little plane. My only complaint about it is the foam is a little more brittle then any of the other foamies I've owned. Or maybe that time I did the inverted elevator right into the ground had something to do with the foam being brittle? Either way, I ordered another! Definatley worth the $22.

It's pretty new, so not many people have them yet. Glad you like it! The shockie-type design is proven and it only gets easier to fly as it gets bigger...

Here's the scoop - These planes aren't designed by us, although I think they did a really nice job on them, and the price is nice ...but I really doubt you'll be seeing any flat foamy monoplanes bigger than 45" or so. Much bigger than that, and it is really difficult to keep the wings stiff enough for 3D. Biplanes, however, are a different story. Having the two wings means you can brace in-between them, and so 50-60" is possible. If you come to the fly in, I'll show you...

Whats the point, it won't cut through wind, tons of inertia...

A decent weight for 25 ounces would be a 45 inch span bipe or smaller.

Yep. The wing loading on a 25oz, 60" bipe would be so low you could walk faster than it would fly forward (not in a harrier). TeamSME is right. A 48" mono-wing or 45" bipe at around 24oz would work real well.

Sorry for the OT... we should really stick to the cool new planes the 3DHS has.

heh...me too.

I have a couple of 40" 24 oz. bipes, and they do fly well on about 220 watts.
