The video of the Hydro plane from Hobby-Lobby is really cool. I dont know if you guys saw the thread about the crash sale, but some guy said he had the inside scoop for last weeks sale. He said it was going to be the Hydro plane. Of course it wasn`t. I`m kind of glad because I dont know if I could have resisted temptation.

Made some progress on the Rambler EP. Hinged Rudder to the vertical fin and attached to the fuse. Attached the horz. stab and elevator to the fuse. Installed the control horns for the rudder, elevator and ailerons. Also, installed the tail skid. It's coming along

Nice Spid, looks like it'll be a quick build.

Anyone have any tips for covering a rubber powered plane with tissue? I'm too the point where I need to cover before I can proceed. Jack recommend using a glue stick on the wood where the covering will make contact but is it as easy as laying it on and pulling it taught?

Thanks Pete. It's a real straight forward build. I should have it finished next week sometime as soon as my stuff from Tower gets here.

I hope it flies as good as it looks.

Hydro is comming along well. Finished gluing most of it together, using Gorrilla glue. Going to put in a 400 brushless with a 6-1 gearbox, 10" prop.

SR-71 in finished!

Well I got the finishing touches put on the SR-71. AUW is about 16 ounces. Should be a blast. I need to make a bungee launcher though. No way to hand launch this baby.

The photo makes it look a bit bigger I think. It is 35" long and 19.5" wingspan.

Great job to the both of you! Kinda of opposite ends of the flight spectrum with the DVII and an SR-71

I made some progress as well on my FF BirdDog. I got all the covering done. I used the 50-50 white glue/water mix to tack the covering down, seems to have worked o.k. The curves were a little tricky byt they came out o.k, not perfect but pretty good for a first attempt IMO.
