I do like the removable tray, too. Uberlites had them, but the Uberlites used actuators. I did not much care for how they flew.
But this has the same magnetic attachment method that the Uberlites uses. With servos and a more powerful motor.

Just an update, since I actually made progress on this project. Probably another few hours to complete.
Struts. Hinge the control surfaces and install horns.
Hmmm... Just realized this pic does not include the wheel pants. They are on, but this picture was taken just before.

Monocoupe from Zeke's Park Scale Models.

Thanks, Tom. Although I think that this is less the result of my building skills and more the laser cut kit.
I am looking forward to completing this to see how it flies.

I got to maiden my Monocoupe last night.
The first 5 or so attempts were centered around correcting the twist in the wings (1/32" sheet) The struts are used to adjust the twist. Before I glued them in place, I wanted to get a feel for how much twist needed to come out. I used some tape to make adjustments. The video is the sixth flight, when I got the twist about right.
The less than controlled landings did knock apart some glue joints, and one wheel pants leg need glued back together, but when it was all done, it was BEAUTIFUL in the air.
I had a pretty good stream of guys coming over to ask about it.
I was surprised by a few things. This model has much more control authority that I would have guessed. I bet it would loop in the gym. I'll try it outdoors first.
Also, it has great power. I was worried that it would be anemic. But it jumped off the gym floor and cruised at well under half throttle.
Pretty good for a used Sukhoi motor.

hmmm.... cant upload video here - trying link to video section...

Some flying videos of the latest two models to come off my workbench. The first is a called an EZB and weighs a whopping 0.260 grams (260 mg). The second is also an EZB class, but has a 1.20 gram minimum weight requirement.

260mg EZB (1 min 26 sec)

F1L 1.2 gram EZB (2 min 22 sec)
