21 ft. span B-29 Bomber with RC X-1 Rocket
I shot this last weekend at Mac Hodges annual spring fun fly.
The B-29 is very much a gas model. However, I think most anyone interested in any form of RC can appreciate this effort. I will post more details on this huge ship in a few days. Here's what I do know... 21 foot span The plane is version #2...#1 met it's demise last fall after hundreds of flights. Version #1 was smaller...still big but smaller. 4 motors each swing 28 inch props producing over 200 lbs of thrust The X-1 is powered by rocket motor that is ignited onboard via transmitter. The two videos on my site are the same footage at different resolution. Please right click and do a "save file as" to minimize my bandwidth depletion. If you have a high speed connection ...the large file is worth it. http://www.koolflightsystems.com/video.htm Regards, Jeff |

Mac Hodges owns this beast. It is powered by 4 ZDZ 80 engines. I see it every year at the Joe Nall. He does all sorts of impressive things with it. I've seen him flat spin, roll, loop (inside & out) as well as low inverted passes. Here is a link to his online hobbie shop. You can contact him thru the site http://h1070264.hobbyshopnow.com/
