Just received my kit w/o Tx

I'll be building (and flying?!!) it tonight. Does anyone have any suggestions or pitfalls to avoid on this little bird?

The answer to your ?s is yes to all Stock Parts. As for the aluminum they should be after christmas maybe sooner. Getting parts for this heli will not be a problem we are very well stocked.

Got mine!

Hi guys,
I received my Micron and it's almost ready for it's maiden flight.
Parts fit and molding is excellent.
Parts are very small-- I used a large meat platter as a building board :_).
I also used a pair of magnifying glasses during the build process.
I plugged the electronics in, everything worked right from the start.
Lots of cool little details....the TR material is stiff, but flexible, like a hard
rubber compound.

Will post a pic later.

Those servo's look huge on it.
Looks like a piccolo style head....in miniature.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered one. How could I not? It seems to be very well done and it's so darn small and neat looking. I've never flown a heli before so this one will be my first. Since it's the first truely micro kit heli (by our "micro" standards) I could not watch from the sidelines any longer and jumped in. I haven't even received it and I'm thinking of those machined upgrade parts.

I am excited to see what motor works well direct drive for the main, I hate gear noise in a heli, and the simplisity of a DD main...never a gear adjustment or worn out gears or broken gears from crashes(even though I am pretty good at flying helis, I stil crash EVERY time I fly.

Gordon,

Do you really have an idea of what you are getting yourself into by buying your first heli.

My wife bought me a Piccolo when it first came out as an Xmas gift a few years ago. Last weekend, I just finished heli #6, with work starting on #7, and #8 in the design stage. And that is not counting all those planes I have built, flown, and destroyed during the same period.

Now, if I can just keep myself from getting one of those Microns too.

Jun,
You are exactly right. This is why I've stayed away from heli's and sailplanes. I have been afraid of finding another area to pour money into. But this heli is so small I could not resist any longer. I'm sure it is a slippery slope from here.

wow.. those are some nice pictures. anyway, Gordon, i dont know if these type of helis are good for beginner like u or not but they sure are cool. they might not be as stable as other bigger birds, but still, helis are helis...

Yup,
I worry about my lack of heli experience too. Well, I'll just have to see how it goes.
