Looks like the entire $8k setup was lifted off this site, including ground station stuff.

BUY! BUY!

If that was my plane, I don't think that I would have put the antenna on the bottom with no landing gear...

Well I guess thatís because someone in Florida has designed a new platform around a slow stick that will revolutionize RCAP if not aviation as a whole-P

That kite plane sucks Horrible aerodynamics and very innefficient . The electronics are neat, but if you go to that trouble , why build something that will have very limited range and performance ???

They could have very easily taken that package and put it in a good high performance ariframe and make it IMMENSELY more capable.

Its just stupid...

There are lots of UAVs built as you described, I think that the point of this one is going in slow and quiet, loiter around a while or maybe stall it into a tree or bush to observe.

No doubt these Rogallo wings are not for high speed cross country flight, but even with all of their drag they do fly great, and are remarkably maneuverable.

To me, the design seems to fit the intended mission.

Wish that I could get one of those gov'ment contracts at 8 grand a pop...
