Old Warden 2005 vintage air display - lots of pics!

A perfect summers evening and a wonderful selection of vintage aeroplanes. It really doesn't get much better than this!

The Shuttleworth Collection has a very informative website here;

http://www.shuttleworthcollection.co...orth/index.htm

The aircraft were diplayed in pairs, so that seems a good way to post their pictures here............

Avro Tutor (1933) & Avro 504K (1918).

The beautifully coloured Desoutter (crying out to be modelled) dwarved the tiny Hawker Cygnet.

The rawcous Hawker Hind contrasted well with the quiet aerobatics of the Gloster Gladiator.

As the sunshine deepened into dusk, it was deemed calm enough to break out the Edwardian collection. True, the Bristol Boxkite and the Avro Triplane are both replicas, but the Blackburn Monoplane is a genuine 1912 item and is the oldest flyable British aeroplane in the world. Wonderful!

Thanks to all who make these events possible.

Tim thanks those are great shots. You should be a pro photographer. What kind of camera did you use?

Tim is a pro photographer Greg. In the far more difficult world of weddings- it takes huge confidence to take that one on- the pucker factor must be close to that of flying a Spitfire PRIX over occupied Europe to get the pictures.

Nice job Hoops, wish we'd have been able to join you.
