Yes, I was doing some Aerial Photography with my Slow Stick today at the local field minding my own business when this big bully we all know as TurboJoe came along with his souped up Slow Stick.... Well honestly now, we were just trying to get some close air to air photos and got a little close when turning back for another run. His 1260 prop took a bite into my wing and did not want to let go. They came down nice and slow (camera and all).

I was really suprised... no damage at all... little 2 inch clean cut from Joe's prop and that was all. Lucky day.

There probably must have been a couple of Slow Stick angles hard at work on that one....

Did he cut his motor just before or at the time of the collision?

We both thought they were just going to pass each other so both props were spinning away, they were not going that fast when it the prop bit into the wing. I believe TurboJoe cut the prop right away.

Seriously though, we could never do that again if we tried. I'm so glad there was no damage to your camera. I think the slow autorotate we did is what saved everything. I replaced the nicked prop and I'm ready to go again.
I doubt you'll want ME on your six again for a photo op though.

I finally found the link to what was probably the first ever Slow Stick combat event and it was held at the Chandler Bowl. It's HERE on Kenny's (Ripnburn) site. Now people are having them all over the place.
Listen closely at the begining with the Death Stick and you'll hear someone say "Joe you're crazy". Muuahahah.

You guys are safe today. I got up early with hopes of spending the morning flying while it's "cooler". My back decided it was time for a day off. I'm hunched over like Quasimoto right now. Knowing my luck it'll pop back into place right after the heat and the winds pick up.

It's the most fun you can have with your pants on! IF you trash your SS it gives you a good reason to go spend the $20.00 on a new slope version replacement.
