Hi there. Will be over in the UK from South Africa end August and thought i might keep my eyes open for some good second-hand sailplane deals.

Can anyone direct me to the correct UK based sites and/or forums to try realise this?

http://www.bmfa.org/ classifieds at the bottom of the page, also e-bay of course.
They seem to be the best two that i know of, but interested in what other people think?

ditto to BMFA , might be worth your while putting a few wanted ads in a couple of weeks before you arrive and see what people have to offer!
