Billet, Billet, Billet! New parts!

Here are a few pics of some items I am working on right now. These are preproduction prototypes. They are not one-off hand made items. These were made on a CNC. They are nearly ready for production, other than a few detail changes and some "Prettying up" so to speak.

The new rotor hub and feather plate center hub are for the new V2 X-Treme rotor head with included QuickUK mixing arms. The bearing blocks (as with all of my aluminum parts) are 6061 aluminum that are CNC cut. These bearing blocks are very precise and stiff. I weighed them. The stock bearing block (lower) weighs 5 grams with the nuts. The aluminum lower block weighs 10 grams as seen here. It will be changed a bit and brought down to about 7 or 8 grams in final production guise. The Billet rocker arm is not shown here. I expect to pick the first one up today. That would be a good birthday gift to me (yup, today is the day! ).

Anyway, by the day's end I hope to post pics of the complete rocker am mounted and ready to go. It will pivot on a 5X11 bearing. I also hope to have a finalized X-Treme rotor head to show today, we shall see.

Anyway, alot is happening lately.

It is a good time for Corona owners right now. Between my stuff and Bret's new Delrin crutch, there is alot going on!

Matt..........

Can we upgrade the existing Extreme Rotor or will it have to be all new?

Ohhh - I like those nice square shoulders on the bearing blocks - looks like a good place to mount a bracket for the fourth servo for the CP upgrade kit .....
.....please please

Cheers

The entire head will be ball raced aluminum except for the CNC cut Delrin follower arm. Yes, the feather hub is very light.

Hey Albert,

Are you still thinking about coming down my way. I'll be working from home all week this week except Thursday.

Mike

Howdy Dowdy Mike

Well this is the situation... I finally managed to shred my CF tail boom, and I'm waiting for my order to come in. If I can get it all together before weeks end, I'll give you a call.

Hey.... I'll give you a call anyway

Blessings!

Albert

I should have all the parts for them by the weekend. So, the only other thing is documentation. I would expect, if I have the parts this week, I will be able to get the documentation this weekend and offer them for sale by next week. All looks good.
