Hello,
I have a friend that just assembled an alfa p-51. I see that you are using a 4-bladed prop. We did not consider using a prop of more than 2 blades because we thought that the extra blades will get caught against the ground when landing.
Is this a problem with your plane? Does it fly better with the 4-bladed prop than a 2? Have you tried a 3 bladed prop?
How many amps are you pulling using the 10X8 4 blade prop?

thanks for any answers,
tim
TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION NO, IT DOES NOT GET CAUGHT ON THE GROUND. I HAVE NOT HAD ONE BREAK YET. IT DOES FLY BETTER BECAUSE YOU ARE BITTING INTO MORE AIR AND ARE SWING A BIG 4 BLADED PROP. I RUN 3 BLADED PROPS ON MY CORAIR AND FW. IT WOULD NOT LOOK RIGHT ON THE P-51 PLUS YOU WANT THE EXTRA INCH THAT YOU ADD FROM THE 4 BLADER. NOT SURE ON THE AMPS MY METER KEPT SHORTING OUT BEFORE FULL POWER IT WAS A LOT AT 3 CLICKS ABOVE HALF BEFORE IT CUT. IT WILL HEAT UP A 3S 1300 BATTERY TO BLISTERING HOT IF YOU RUN IT AT FULL POWER NON STOP. HALF WITH BURST HERE AND THERE IS FINE.

Yeah, would especially like to see pictures about how you modified the GWS prop to fit the motor and spinner.
