Tail feathers hinged and on fuselage.
I elected to use Du-bro pinned mini hinges on the rudder as they were more free than the sheet plastic MPJet ones supplied with the kit.

Hey Matt, What are you guys using to hold down your canopies so that they are removable? Im thinking velcro tabs.

Moving onward:

Here we see the fibreglass plate with locates the carbon rod, tabs for securing the wing, and substantial ali tube to keep the wings in check.

Magnets on the outside of the canopy and tin glued to the foam. Works really well.

The wings locates into pre-cut holes in the fuse, I had to enlarge most of these holes to get a snug fit. On the inside of the fuse is a fibreglass material with the holes cut in it, the same material that is on the wing roots. Looks like G10 to me.

The firewall is pinned onto protruding pieces of G10 with holes in them, these are the same piece of fibreglass the is inside the fuse between the wings, so the result is very strong, I was skeptical at first but after giving the firewall the pull test I am confident it will stay put.

I like the landing gear alot, It is stiff enough for the strain of ground running but flexible enough to absorb firm landings of which Im sure there will be a few.

Once again It is as easy as sliding the unit into pre cut slots in the fibreglass inside the fuse. The light 3 Inch wheels are supplied too.

And here we are. Ready for radio installation in only 3 and a half hours. Not to shabby.

The cap was a freebe from Matt Lord after I bought the Blade XL off of him. Cheers dude!

Hmmm may have to try the magnet idea, thanks.
Stay tuned for radio installation and test run up tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Things are looking good Marcus. They build really easily don't they!

Here's a couple of things that you should know. The COG as mentioned in the instructions is a bit far forward for 3D. Its a safe place to start but don't be shy in moving it back a bit. Also make sure that you've got plenty of rudder throw as she loves it when you throw the tail around. Also when you drill the hole in the wing joiner to allow the bolt access, don't make it too tight. If you do it tends to pull the leading edge of the wing away from the fuse at the root.

Paul, they don't come unpainted, however they look crap on the ground but really good in the air. We've got a fleet of them flying up here in Auckland and they all look great in their camo colour scheme once they are off the ground.
