Wow...
![]() That is really, really, cool!!!! I want to try it on my Poppy. Please provide more details on the exact camera to get. I assume you are using the lightest available from x10.com, the XCam2. Are you using their battery pack or what? Seems too heavy. You said 15 minutes @ 2 grams weight. Please be more specific on batteries and other construction/lightening of camera package details needed to make this work. Thanks. |

WAR,
Use all common sense to remove every exccess weight known to mankind, such as hot glue, case, solder, switches etc. 2oz not 2gm. Have fun, Charles |

A day at the park with my Lite-Stik Cam
Between the Lite-stik cam and the FireBird cam, I like the LS flying slower and better control.
Try my 11th posting of video transmssion from the air of "A day in the park". And the 12th posting of the Rancho San Antonio Park. The full fuse Lite Stik can now swing the camera forward and down. http://www.geocities.com/ctan060301/index.html Enjoy, Charles [This message has been edited by jas_Qfix (edited 06-26-2001).] |

There is a guy selling these on Ebay. I guess he sells you the X-10 camera and gives you plans on removing the casing, etc... Looks pretty cool! http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1600240271
The videos are awesome jas_Qfix! Do you have anymore footage? Thanks, Lewis |

Is the receiver capable of being plugged into a camcorder?
There's a 15 mile extension cord needed from my VCR to the flying field otherwise. ![]() Looked at the web-cam site and couldn't see anything on this.. Is the range really only 100 feet? . A little pricy but cute little zoomable camera from the following site.
http://www.pimall.com/nais/evc.new.html Have fun, Charles Paul, Yes the video receiver plugs into a VCR. Yes the basic stock Tx/Rx is only good for 100ft range. It is the antenna that counts. Have fun, Charles |

I just took the plunge at the X-10 web site. Actually it wasn't much of a plunge at $59.00, after the $20.00 voucher savings.
It sounds too good to be true, camera with sound and a receiver, plus a tripod and another accessory. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee also. They also have a "wide eye" version available for a little more money. I opted for the standard lens for fear the wide eye might distort the image a bit. |

I have an old Sony Camcorder that says it will take video in.. but it doesn't to be doing that..
And an even older Pentax VCR system.. large clunky box for a VHS tape, runs on 12 vdc, which does work. This camera would be great on a ukie plane! Looking in at the pilot! And never more than 60 feet away! Urp!!! ![]() Would an antenna on the bottom of an r/c be the optimum location? Possibly a long one that bends when it's on the ground... ? . Paul,
Yes. Ant at the bottom of the plane is the best place. If you search for dipole ant for 2.4Ghz system on Modeling Science forum you will find how people build dipole ant. Enjoy, Charles Why is your Sony Cam not recording from AVin? Most Sony Cam requires two push buttons simultaneously to go into AVin recording. |

flytowner,
Here is some more footage from the Lite-Stik Sky_Cam. Note the ~seven second footage of the gaint glider that flew into my camera's view. There were so many plane in the air that day. I will find the owner to thank him for been a good subject. Check out my #14 posting. Video transmission from Lite-Stik Sky-Cam using Close up Lens. "14 - Another Rancho San Antonio Park Sky-Cam Video. (File size ~4.2MB)" Enjoy, Charles |

This morning there must be at least 4 or 5 dozen sea-gulls flying in somekind of happy celebration. I can't help but to launch my Lite-Stik to join the celebration.
Check out my video file number 16. "16 - Birds eye view of Birds chasing Lite-Stik video. (File size ~2.59MB)" Enjoy, Charleshttp://www.geocities.com/ctan060301/index.html [This message has been edited by jas_Qfix (edited 06-26-2001).] |
