Just ordered mine from ModelSpot! Can't wait for it to arrive so I can see what everyone is raving about!

Next job is to sort out LiPo batteries for it! I figure I will fly it stock as Jurgen's video suggests there is no need to modify it at all!

Cheers

PS

Paddy

This time you get the edge! I will be in Queensland next week so you should get yours in the air before I do!

Thanks! It is always a challenge when you have to order things without seeing them! If I waited for them to get to Oz there would be a new model out!

Any reason why I couldn't run it from a 3s pack and use end point adjust to keep the throttle setting down??

Cheers

David, are you saying Paddy has ordered a TSII as well?

I think it will be a big seller for MPX, especially after seeing Jurgen's video. Looks to be able to do things aerobatically that it shouldn't be able to do, and seems to fly well slowly too. tt

Yup, the old "Race DownUnder" is on again! Who will get the first TwinStar II flying DownUnder???

Paddy gets a head start on handicap this time - I'm going to be 2000 km from home when they arrive!

Plus, I've never had anything to do with multi-engine planes!

The race commences!

Cheers

PS I just had to get one to see what you guys were raving about! Brandie will be jealous!

It is early, 1:27 AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes not, had a sleep study last week, waiting for results.

So I guess you are already almost through with the day, so tell me will it be a good one? tt

3:37pm here
Day started out COLD and FOGGY around 4 decrees C - that is cold for Melbourne!

Stayed foggy until around 1:00pm and now it is still, clear and sunny. Temp is up around 19 degrees C.
Lovely day! Why am I not flying????

We have been having weather like this a bit lately. Took the kids from school flying on Friday and it was the same. Stayed heavy fog until about 1:00pm. Very unusual for Melbourne. Still, we are in a 7 year drought so clear and calm is to be expected!

Of course, it is predicted for wet and windy for the weekend! Typical!

I have spent the day working on client's computers - it is school holidays here - middle of the first week - so I am doing stuff for clients while I can. Off to Queensland - and the sun - similar to Florida I suppose - to see my father on Monday and back Friday week. I dare say I will spend most of the time fixing his computer!

Cheers

Just some info for you guys who have order your TwinStar II from Modelspot here in the UK. I was down at the shop yesterday, and they say that the Twinstar IIs where shipped from multiplex on friday so should be arriving at the shop this week. Think might just be getting one to add to the growing collection of models. Am thinking of running a pair of ultrafly S400 motors with 3:1 gearboxes and APC 8x8E props, powered by 3S1P, should pull around 20ish Amps

Tower sez Twin Star II "In stock"

I just spoke with a customer service rep @ Tower Hobbies. She verified that they do have the Twin Star II in stock (very limited quantity). I mentioned that Multiplex USA said August, she said maybe they're "ahead of the game"

Anybody want to try to order one?

The TS is NOT the TS II - check the mfg. number on Tower's site. Nice bait and switch with the pic of the TS II though.

I wasn't specific when I asked - you're right. The photo is for the new one.

I saw your caution in an earlier post and glossed over the true message.
