Thank You Danny!

I had no idea what to call this feature (differential throttle) to search for

Great links! Thanx again

^ You might find this thread useful, though not specific to TS II but another Twin, Catalina : Post # 3091.

Suggest also see the vid and see the effect of differential throttle control on water (start ~53 sec):

Guy is offering to help as well.

3 receiver TS2

Here is a way to reduce a lot of wireing from the wing to the body. I added two receviers in the wing each rcvr controls one motor and one arilon. The only wire then into the body is the power leads. Using the orange rcvr on cost is $12.00. Use a beck in the body and one more rcvr, for the elevator and rudder.
Here are a shot of this mod plus some other changes.

Ahhhh... but orange is the most visible colour. It'll offer a great chance to turn TS II into a dot in the sky

Cheers

Neat idea for non-2.4 radios (pretty sure you can't bind 2 DSM2 rcvrs ar the same time, for example). Might cause problems in extremis though ie if 1 RX drops signal before the other...?

I bind the DSM2 rcvrs one at a time, but I have bound two at a time - no problem. Also three at a time if you count the satalite one. Also I Know of a case were there are up to 30 rcvrs in one plane.

Electricharry,
Interesting. I didn't realize that this could be done. I also love your landing gear. I just might try something like that on mine. My TS is 4 years old with the 6v motors and flys great, but I need to do something different. The landing gear may be the way to go.

Thanks for sharing!

You can bind as many receivers as you want to any 2.4 GHz system. When you have a system with integrated telemetry, one will act as "master rx".

What you can't do, is operating a single 2.4GHz rx with two or more transmitters, because every tx has an individual ID. When you change transmitters, you need to rebind your rx, i.e. telling the rx which tx to listen to.

Actually yellow is the most visible color. I know, I made sure to get yellow jerseys so our QB can see the receivers!

May be on a bright sunlight but orange/ amber has overall superior visibility to human eyes even in fog or mist. All traffic lights have amber lights to warn light is going to change and so on.

It'd just be a silhouette then - you wouldn't be able to see what colour it was

Pure white is about as bad as it gets up against cloud though - anything is better than that!
