It actually looks even better now, since I put some brushed aluminum spinners on instead of those stupid prop adapters. They look way better and work better too!

How did you get such crisp paint lines...what type of tape did you use?

Automotive striping tape. It's a thin vinyl tape. It actually worked pretty poorly and the paint leaked under it quite a lot. Painting foam is hard! I used a white sharpie paint pen to clean everything up. From any distance greater than about 6 inches you can't tell.

That is great.
I do black stripes on most of my planes for the bottom but like the paint job.
Great visibility.

Yes, I thought it was a rather ignorant thing to do.

Hi everybody!
I have ordered a Twinstar II so it's on it's way in the mail to me.
I have a little question if its allright. What about having two lipos, one for each engine and mount them on the wings ? What about pros and cons ?
I reckon it would put additional stress on some already frail wings, but it would cater for some much shorter batterywires.

I don't think I'd do two batteries independently simply because they won't discharge at the same rate (although it would likely be close if everything else was equal). However, I do have a friend who runs two batteries in parallel with his Twinstar without any issues. It obviously makes it a little heavier and it handles a little differently, but this plane can take quite a bit of weight. Its not detrimental to its flying characteristics at all. And he gets like 40 minute flights!

I have run 2 x 3200 2S packs for a total of 2S 6400mA pack.
I ended up switching it up for a 3S 5100 mA pack.
To avoid the wiring issues, run 3 wires for the brushless motor wires into the fuselage and put both your ESC's in the fuselage.
No issues if you do it that way and if you run a higher Amped ESC (I run 40A ESC's when I pull about 15A from each) they don't even get warm.
I did a lot of reading and don't think the need is there to run the ESC in the wing behind the motors. Lot cleaner to do it the way I did.
Lots of room for battery especially if you carve a few areas before gluing together.

I finished building my camera mount from ReadyMadeRC tonight. Looks good and I can't wait to fly it!

Thanks for all the answers. Esc's in the fuse and one main flight pack it is.

Hi, I want to build an fpv plane which also records the flight with a goproHD. And I read alot that this is a good plane for that purpose. Is it easy to fit 2 brushless motors on this plane? Can I buy the foam only, and build the plane like that? Because I think brushed motor's aren't fast enough. I want it to really quickly go up, but when it's high, I'll fly it slowly. My goal is to get some amazing above the clouds footage. (when clouds are low, but still like 600 meters high )
