I'm flying 3300 and 5000 mah batts.

Got about 15 min with GForce 5000, cell voltages were about 3.88 after the flight; should be able to get more time with throttle management

E-flite 3300s gave about 10.5 min each

recommended cg is easy to achieve by shifting batt position

Wow, man... 15 minutes on 5000mAh? Do you fly your Twinstar at 150MPH?

I fly my TS a bit tail heavy and have no trouble achieving this with a 2200 mAH pack in front of the servos. I sometimes fly a 1800 mAH pack right at the front of the bay.

I didn't want to mislead anybody...

Last time I flew the 5000mah I accidentally flew it twice without recharging. The flight log indicates 14:15 minutes on first flight, then 9:15 minutes on the 2nd flight, for a total of 23:30 minutes. It still had 57% capacity, each cell voltage about 3.86 volts....temperature was abut 60*

Is this close to what you are getting? Don

I use 2200mAh batteries in my TSII and my usual flight duration is about 25 min and I almost never hit the LVC except when I try to do some torque rolls

Ahh... gotcha. 23 minutes sounds a lot better.

Mine is on a slow boat from Tower, so my battery times aren't quite that good...

What do you guys think of my TwinStar paint scheme? This one is a good balance between elegance and ease of execution.

Looks good! Reminds me of E Flite for some reason. Not sure why.

That looks great. Have you considered adding one of the stickers too?

What do you plan for the underside?
I find colours don't really show up on the underside, but it's useful to have different shapes to the top, particularly when flying against a grey sky.

If I want to add a "TwinStar" decal I might cut my own out of vinyl. I actually like the font they chose, but I don't know how the blue will look with the rest of the scheme. I will use the window and canopy decals. For the bottom, I might just do something like this. I also have to decide if I'm going to do it with paint or vinyl.

I came up with another fuselage design so now I need to pick between the two. The wings will the same either way.

SWEET! My TwinStar, all of its accessories, AND my Sukhoi 26XP come in tomorrow. Its gonna be a great RC day. And my transmitter is coming to work with me. I have everything shipped there. Fortunately my boss is also into RC, so we will probably take a few "smoke breaks" tomorrow.
