"simple" lost model alarm...?
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a lost model alarm which can run off a single channel and be turned on by one of my toggle switches on my JR FM TX.. All of the ones I am finding monitor battery levels, count glitches and sound when the TX is turned off... Battery level, fine, glitch count is ok too, but when I turn my TX off the servo's go nuts on the noise and look like they would be damaging themselves... I would rather just be able to turn on the alarm when I want it to be on.. and visa versa.. I have all these free chanels, may as well use them.. Plus it would be fun whizzing past the slope and flicking the alarm on to scare your foolish friends out of the sky... So, is there one I can buy, or preferably build? Thanks in advance, Tai |

I know Hobby Lobby sells them but those ones make all sort of beeps and noises when you turn off the trans, yet they work very well for me.

Usually the lost model alarm stops your servos going berserk when you turn your tx off .

We have not had a single case of servo damage in the HUNDREDS of lost model alarms we've sold. The servos should not be moving if there is no Tx signal for them to receive.

I believe the_Canuck Makes and sells them. Pretty sure he designed them to do exactly what you are looking for. I'm sure he will chime in to the site sometime today.

I found an alarm which beeps after 5mins of no servo activity on the channel it is plugged into... It took about 30mins of reading and re-reading the very engrish one paragraph manual (i use the term manual very very loosely)...
So it's close enough for me... It's meant to remind you that you have left your plane on... But for me, it's just an alarm with a 5mins delay..  Thanks for the help guys.... |
