Carbon Push Rods for 60" DLG
What is a good size solid carbon push rod to use for 60" DLG?
0.5mm (0.02") or 0.8mm (0.031")? not including the diameter of the sleeve tube. Which one does XP-4 use? The website says 0.03". But my friend measured his and said 0.02". Can I really expect to save some significant tail weight by going with carbon rods instead of 0.031" wires? Also, has anyone break a carbon rod in flight before? Thanks for answering so many questions. |

I used .015 wire on my "Spin Doctor" Dlg I designed with no problems. I used the #23 bondable teflon tubing full length from servo to control surface.

The XP-4 uses .030 which in reality is .025 to .027. #20 etched teflon for housing. |
