More Guillow conversions and 1/2A projects
I cant find any pictures of my Corsair or P-38, but here's my Hellcat. The other thing that I remember was making the wing detachable with a standard dowel in the front and screw in the back. These things really fly great- I had the black widow .049 and a 1 ounce clunk tank. This was back in 1983 or so, when I lived in North Carolina.

I also was a very prolific builder at that time- how I found time to design/build and fly while a full-time student, working full time and raising a family is beyond me. Anyway, I drew my own plans for these 3 jets. The F-106 had the black widow and was just way underpowered. The F-4 seen here actually is my .25 version, but again I cant find the picture of my Air Force Grey F-4. But it also had the black widow, and it flew really good, but had some wacky low speed handling problems. Finally the A-7, this had one of those early TD .051 cardboard tube and plastic ducted fans (1984) and it was underpowered as well. In 1984, I sent pictures of my jets to the Guillow company, asking if they would like my designs- they replied that no, they dont accept freelance designs but said they liked the concept. Not too long after that I started seeing Guillows F-14 and F-16 jet kits in magazines and stores.
