Hey go-rc, did you ever solve the roll problem with the elevons, solution? I have an outrunner motor now, so i should get an over-powered falcon finished sometime.

It's probably been asked a thousand times but anyone know where to get fanfold. Lowes says they don't stock it anymore. Home Depot doesn't have it. How will I ever get the falcon off the ground without it!?!

If they don't stock it, they can still order it for you, can't they? (I'm suprised they didn't even offer... )

I talked to a Lowes guy to order some, I gave him the item number from their own catalog and he tried to look it up on their computer but came up as no longer available. He called their insulation supplier while I was standing there and they told him they could get some but they only sell it by the palette! (90 bundles at $30 a pop ) So I went to lowes online and did a search, indeed it shows up as no longer available.

It really depends on where the Lowe's is located. They still stock it in my area.

I have a page on my site for helping people locate BlueCor:

Cad anyone?

Hi all.
Nice work here!
I was going to offer my services to draw up the Millenium Falcon plans, but I just saw that it's already been done.
So, if anyone has anything else they need drawn (or drawn well ) I'd be interested.

Sorry, I'll post more about me another time, I'm at work atm & the life of a draftie is busy (at work anyway).

Hello all,
Hey that's cool we got some hits from the new gadgets and internet news sites! The views jumped up from 18,000 to 75,000 in a couple days! Very nice! Lots of Starwars and RC fans out there. If you are interested in RC vehicles this is the place to be!

Plans

Ok, I just got home and took a quick look. I have received the plans from Dan and they look great. Once I get my kids feed I will have some time and I'll post them. Two pages of plans, one assembly drawing and a complete color construction guide.

DRAWN- thanks for the offer to draw up the plans anyway. Welcome to RC groups.

SnakeX2- theres still a little roll issue to work with but she does fly and I've had fun with it.

OK. looks like its going to be a little longer. The files are to large to post at the moment and I don't have anyway to compress the pdf's. Working on the issue. They WILL be avaliable soon.

Okay guys, thanks for waiting. I'm on Hawaii Time this week, and it's only 9:00pm here right now. I've uploaded the plans to the FoamFly gallery, and you can start the downloading...

They're in PDF and DXF format. If you discover any problems or errors, let me know.

Thanks again GO-RC for doing the hard work and bringing this project to life. Can't wait to build mine when I get back into town.

Plans and Construction Guide are here: http://www.FoamFly.com/gallery/Millenium_Falcon

Enjoy,
-Dan

I've just downloaded the plans... All I can say is, AWESOME! Very clear, very detailed, you guys have done a great job making the MF and bringing it to life! I hope some day I can bring you the favor back!
WOHOOOOO!!!!
Just a question, did the vertical stabs improve stability significantly?

PS. Hippo, I think I found a few minor bugs:
- For some reason the 3d DWG can't be downloaded; maybe it's just me, but I had no problem with the other files.
- On page 10, and I think everywhere there should be a "1", I just see a "_"?

Great work!
I'm cutting the depron as I am writing this...

Are the transparent Fins needed? Have you tried without them?

Hmm, is a speed 400 considered overkill on this thingy?

hallo!

I have two SW machines - Headhunter and customized jedi Starfighter (photos are in my gallery).
Flying "Falcon" is very interesting, but polystyrol foam is very fragile for me . My fighters are from EPP foam.
