T-Rex XL pricing listed

http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product...roducts_id=825

Just cruised over to the Align site and found the price for XL eCCPM, mCCPM is $193. This kit is going to be awesome! IMO the most reliable 3D ship available. I've got my V1 just where I want it. For hard 3D all you need is:

- V1 kit w/XL upgrade and eCCPM mod

- Good electronics 401/hs56's/4s+ batteries

- Sab 320 blades(also Mahs available but I haven't tried these)

- Washers between the plastic grip spacers and rubber dampeners. The washers will help keep the dampeners loaded evenly and seated properly. This improves tracking A LOT. If you want to stiffen up the rotorhead just dremel a little off an end of the spindle. The washer will compress the o-rings further...

Is the Trex XL lighter than the Trex V2 or Ark X400?

The XL is bigger then both of those you mentioned. I think the RTF weight will be around the same as the V1, maybe a little bit lighter. Weight IMO is fine where it is.

Added weight to XL:

- More bearings
- Longer boom/blades

Reduced weight on XL:

- Frames are lighter

- eCCPM requires less mechanics

would an AON 2812 (i think) - 3500 (3500kv) work in this new trex? I mean, I saw that the ccpm swashplate has been redesigned as it has the servo connection on the antirotation arm. Is there anything else that has been changed? would motors which normally fit in the regular Trex work in this one?

thanks

Yes it should work. The 11t will give you good headspeed.

HS56 is fine on the tail. I've tried the Futaba 3108 with GY240 and didn't care for it. I'm now flying a GY401 with HS50 and it feels locked in.

HS 55 or 50 is faster than the 56 too.

Yeah but I think the HS56 is fast enough also. Corrado @ www.heliup.com flys the HS56 in all of his videos. Tail seems pretty locked in

Christ88,

Make sure you read their website. It says for Tawian buyers only. It does look like a sweet deal though.

Align products are usually the same price once they hit the states. I believe the US dealers are being told 3 weeks.

I'm personally not going to upgrade. I've gone with most of their CNC parts and a few from Heliup, but a couple friends will be ordering a kit

I will definetly be ordering one! I have been looking at a Trex for a while, but I didn't trust my shop skills to make my own ccpm mod. Also, I didn't like the fact that you had to cut and drill some of the frame to make other mods fit (again, i don't trust my shop skills). So, I am going for the CCPM Trex straight from Align!

uh oh. Will the new trex fit in the align aluminum case? I know most of you will say "get/make your own cheaper case!" but, I (hopefully) will have the money to afford one by the end of summer after all my lawnmowing, yard work, etc. is finished. So. I saw on the new trex ccpm that the length is 650mm and rotor diameter is 680-700mm. On the old Trex 450X V2 the length is 610mm and rotor diameter is 640mm. Will the new one still fit in the "conquer your heart" case?

thanks

I have been trying to get that Trex case for a month now with no luck. I don't want to buy it on ebay because I think the shipping is outrageous. Anyone know of a reputable site with them in stock?

Thanks,

Jeff
