I did this candy drop at an RC field in Benbrook TX. I miss doing stuff like this.
This halloween, you need LEDs on it in the evening to make it look like a jack o lantern and do a candy drop for kids

Not commercially since we can not operate here in the US. I have been working the past few years trying to get some government contracts.

And Now, Something Completely Different

"Adriatic Games" is the name of a project that began this summer on national television. AdUp and Helifoto is engaged in aerial filming and here you can see some of the details.

I am very jealous. Who would of thought that in the good old US of A that our own government would stand in our way of prosperity. I will not be able to operate my ships commercially at home for probably another 5 years!

Sinke,

Were you guys sending live video for a broadcast or where you taping on board the ship for post playback? If you are broadcasting to the customer are you transmitting HD video quality?

The FAA shut down all commercial operations for all UAV platforms back in 2006. The FAA is expected to release new regulations allowing us to operate in late 2012, but I am not holding my breath. The new regs are only going to allow operations of UAVs under 55lbs. This would still keep my larger unmanned airships grounded and those would be my biggest money makers.

galaxy,
i'll take the freedom to answer even though I was not there (but I am involved with Sinke and the geys, sorry, guys) :-). Some footage was shown live on TV via a small 5,8G link of poor quality. You could clearly see the difference in picture quality to that which was broadcast from ground. Other aerial shots were also used in the show that were shoot a day before, and that was good.
We are looking hard for an affordable HD video link with a mass which could be lifted by this 7m blimp. Any ideas?
When we get it, we will really take off!!

Floatograph never built an unmanned blimp. Our first 30ft blimp was commissioned by Frank at Floatograph. We where never able to sell any system through them. Floatogragh is currently being run by Franks son and they mainly build telescoping towers for the government.

Hey Tony,
Make a survival cost, and we´ll try to sell your ship for operating for the Soccer World in 2014...

We have to start selling it now, and you got to come down with at least 2 complete blimps and 2 spare envelopes.

Helium is sold in cubic meters (you got to learn the conversion) the price of helium here is about us$30 per cubic meter, we could get it lower if we buy a whole Crate truck load...

We may even start working much earlier in local Soccer coverage

Who is in your operations team now? Andy is a must as chief Engineer! specialy as far as video geek and overal maintenance...

Give me an Idea of how much money wud be involved in bringing 2 of you and 2 blimps plus spares
´we´ll give a start here as far as salles is concerned...

Even though I live in Maui, presntly I´m in Brazil "Taking care of Business"

Marcus
