Yes... I have made many flights with my 2 Outdoor Blimps, one 8.6 meters and the other 10 meters
I used to charge US$4.500,oo a day at least 3 day contract... obviously flying only for Multinational Corporations... Flying for sports was not worth it... they only pay peanuts... I wonder how much you guys are charging... for flying at Baseball Games? I only fly for the Rich... that is why I´m in Maui...people here have DOE...

I flew for an event last evening at a local high school. About 500 guest for dinner at the end of school year to honor the school districts long term teachers and those retiring this year. I had a pleasant evening and really had no problems to speak of. My partner flew for the Dallas Desperados (arena football) as well so we were pretty busy. Attached are a couple of shots on the Huckabee sortie and the little 7.5 footer. ed
Marcus Love the photos and envy the location but I'm too long a Texan to make the change you just did. Get out the balloons and get back to work. It may be a little different but not by much. Luck sir. eec

Personally, I have heard of several methods and thoughts but nothing successful. I eat the cost and plan it as part of the overall charge per that event. It would be sweet if we could reclaim at least 60 percent per event, save a lot of money. It kills me to have to use a T-bottle (290 cubic feet) and after 30 minutes of flying dump it into the ether. Fifty eight to 75 dollars gone but its figured into the bill so I guess I should not be bitching although I still do.
DINU What part of the world are you in? I can fill a roughly 600 foot 20 foot airship for approximately $125.00 US. I just received an invoice for a dozen T-bottles of helium that averaged about 63 dollars a bottle from Prexair. Airgas cost a little more at about 75 dollars a bottle. This cost is part of the overall cost of doing business. |
