GWS New Mini Dragonfly Main rotor was under test shooting.

I am very happy to test and see the result is the best among this size!

I am working on more comparison test with many others....

This is the datas for GWS new rotor standard version.

GWS current production of Dragonfly EM150 version which come with the main rotor from FEDA takes 3.3A at 260g lift. The GWS new rotor take only 3.1A.

When Max thrust FEDA rotor get 320g while take 4.6A. GWS new rotor max thrust 310g but takes only 4.2A.

GWS current production of Dragonfly EM300H version which come with the main rotor from FEDA takes 3.6A at 260g lift. The GWS new rotor take only 3.3A.

When Max thrust FEDA rotor get 350g while take 6.4A. GWS new rotor max thrust 340g but takes only 6.2A.

When Max thrust FEDA rotor get 350g while take 6.4A. GWS new rotor max thrust 380g but takes only 5.9A.

I am doing more test to show you the results I will have. Post soon.

However. I found some cheap rotor take high current but did not give you the lift thrust very well.

W brand takes 7.6A at max but only 290g lift thrust for GWS Dragonfly EM300H version.

J brand takes 7.4A at max but only 290g lift thrust for GWS Dragonfly EM300H version.

No wounder PHA-01 will be killed!

Pls do not buy cheap rotors other than GWS original supplied!

I am very supprised to get some datas of compared with W, J and Sz brabds rotors which comsume so much more current but develope very little lift thrust.

One of the rotor that I found in China perform pretty good at EM150 version. That give 280g max lift while takes 3.7A. But need to consider to use light Li-po packs only.

But not so nice to be equipped with EM300H version. I almost shocked to see the max thusrt still 280g but current jump up to 6.9A! May be need to try other way for optimization.

I will keep trying many combination to see how they work.

Why do we need EM300? Does the EM300 give more lift at higher speeds?

The standard version new rotor is designed for EM150 version get best performance. But her limmited max lift thrust of 340g at 6.2A for EM300H.

The professional version new rotor can get 380g lift thrust at 5.9A with EM300H. A great choice for EM300H flyer!

I bought many other helicopters for testing.

Hope GWS new rotor will also do some help to improve their performance.

During RCX show, I will bring this new rotors to GWS booth!

We will demo fly the GWS Dragonfly with new rotor and PHA300!

can you add my blade mod?
its basic,
only add shapes from blade tips to down, only 5 mm, in curved shape, it will increase efficiency, and helped to remove ground effect,
maybe you must add this part as "optional", with 2 tooth, 2 hole & some tape, its possible and useful.
