Right-Hand Propellers....where from?

Hello!

Where can i find right hand props? What mfgr makes them? APC?? I need them in 10 x 4.7, or roughly similar. Parkzone or efilite, i know makes 11x4.7 but hubs are of gws style. i would have to cut the tips to lower to 10" and ream the hub...i don't want to do this fearing i might screw it up and becomes way off balance!

Any help would be great!

So, if you're using it as a pusher with opposite rotation, wouldn't a standard prop work? Sounds OK to me, unless I'm missing something. Tex.

You need to define what you mean by a 'right handed' prop. By my definition ALL standard rotation props are 'right handed'. Tell us how you want to use the prop.

If all you want to do is have a pusher in back instead of a tractor in front, it's easy with electrics. just put the prop on front forward but in back. hehe (with convex side of airfoil towards front of plane) The motor will be what's backward, which is a big problem with gas engines, but for electrics is just reversing 2 wires. Now if you want twin motors, with counter rotating props, to cancel each other's torque (like my Bronco OV-10) then you need matching right hand(normal) and left hand (nearly non-existant) props. Master airscrew makes a few leftys that match their rightys in a few sizes. They are not light! They are made for gas direct drive. Hope this helps.

Sorry for not being so clear! i need a right hand and left hand prop to cancel each others' torque! I am starting to realize for electrics, its almost not existant!
APC doesn't do it. I had just email Master Airscrew, haven't got reply yet, but from above post, doesn't sound so good!

I do have a lefty and righty 10x4.5, but i don't think they're even good to 100W! I think they are parkzones!? not sure!

I would hate to use APC 10x3.8/4.7 and have to deflect thrust to cancel torque! such a waste of thrust! hmmmm! Like mentioned above about MS for slimers that are heavy, APC got them 10x6 too but for slimers/heavy!

i will check out vario and see what they got!

Twins don't suffer from prop torque.
That operates around the centerline of the motor, which on a twin isn't on the centerline of the airplane, except for the Cessna push-pull style.
What they do encounter is "p-factor", where the downgoing blade has more thrust around the axis of the motor than the upgoing blade, at high angles of attack.
It's the lack of symmetrical thrust that makes the engine-out situation (on IC motored planes) a problem.
With electrics, unless each motor has a seperate speed control, when one stops, the other stops.
Full-scales work around this with opposite rotating motors, with the downgoing blade rotating towards the fuselage..
"normal" rotation on the left motor, opposite rotation on the right motor.
This alleviates the "critical motor" problem.. where one motor dead is more serious than the other, due to p-factor.
Some planes like the P-38 never did get it right, with -both- motors critical!

Yep the p-38 and a few (very few that I am aware of) did it backwards.

I have heard lots of theories, and even talked to a p-38 pilot, but i guess it cured some other bad habits this plane had (rotating the props backwards!).
