DJ, not a clue, and I'm frustrated. I have two DX-7's. I've had lockout 4 different times, two in each radio, in four different planes with four different receivers, some 6100's and some 6100 e's, and in four different locations. In three cases, I was at the very beginning of the flight on a well charged battery at moderate throttle so the voltage should not have been a problem. In the rocket case, I was using a separate castle 10 amp bec so again, voltage should not have been an issue. In all cases, after the 5 second lag, I had perfect control, so it was definitely a lockout, fortunately it's only cost me two planes and one battery. I really like the advantages of the spektrum systems, but I'm still not 100% sold on them being worry free. These for the most part are in profile planes, so they are not inside anything to block reception, and I don't have any AC wiring near them, just the DC wire from battery to speed control, so shouldn't be ac noise. I think the 1.6 firmware version is supposed to have a faster re-binding, but I haven't wanted to test that out, I may need to pull them all and send them all in as some mental re-assurance.

Frank

Very sorry for the poor quality of this shot. But the camera guy jumped @ time of liftoff,LOL.......30 years ago i designed built& launched this rocket. It was made from #10 cardboard cans(the type coffee is bought in) Their about 10"Dia.x 12" tall ,each.I secured 4 of them together.Topped w/ a 12" nosecone & packed it w/ a 5 foot rip-stop chute. At the base was a cluster of "5" D size Estes motors. And to insure they ALL ignited @ once, they were wired to my jeeps Batt.w/ engine running. She took off in a big cloud of smoke.Climbed about 1000 ft.& came back safe via. the chute .It was going to be on "Ripleys" on T.V. but at the last minute they couldn't make it.And i could get permission for only 1 day, from the land owner...RTR

Well im gonna have to dig around in my computer to find them, but I found this for now: Of all the places to land, and it landed straight. Didn't hit the trees, or the roof, or the pond. Only about a 5 square foot are to land, and it landed there! I was using a C6-5 engine.
